Necessary cookies
Necessary technologies may support authentication, security, fraud prevention, session continuity, load balancing, and privacy-preference storage. Where permitted by law, these do not depend on optional marketing or analytics consent because the service may not function safely without them.
Optional categories
- Analytics: helps understand aggregate site or product usage.
- Functional: supports optional convenience features where separate consent or choice is appropriate.
- Marketing: helps measure campaigns or personalize marketing when permitted and selected.
Your choice
Where consent is required, optional categories should not be enabled before a valid user choice. Users should be able to accept optional categories, reject optional categories, or manage preferences without a dark pattern. Withdrawal should be as straightforward as giving consent.
Preference record
NewsBolts may store a necessary preference record containing a consent or preference version, timestamp, and selected categories so the site can respect the user's choice on future visits. Production retention should be reviewed periodically and the banner shown again when material purposes change or consent requires renewal.
Third-party technologies
If NewsBolts introduces analytics, advertising, support widgets, embedded media, or other third-party technologies, the Cookie Policy and preference controls should be updated to identify their purpose and applicable retention. Third-party technologies must not be silently enabled in a way that conflicts with the recorded preference.
Browser and device controls
Browsers may allow users to delete, block, or restrict cookies. Blocking necessary storage may affect login, security, or product functionality. Browser controls are separate from NewsBolts' own preference interface.
Changes and contact
NewsBolts may update this policy when cookie purposes or providers change. Privacy contact: complaint@newsbolts.com. For broader personal-data information, see the Privacy Policy.
